Delete your KonHR account

Your account in the KonHR app (كُن) is created by your employer, and your employee records belong to your employer. You can ask for your account and your data to be deleted at any time, in either of the two ways below.

1How to ask

Through your HR team

Usually the fastest. Your HR team can close your account in KonHR and delete the records your employer does not have to keep. Ask them in person, by email, or with a request in the app.

By email to us

  1. Write to privacy@konhr.com from the email address you sign in with.
  2. Give your full name and your company’s name, and say that you want your account deleted.
  3. We reply to that address to confirm the request is yours, and tell your employer.
  4. We delete your account within 30 days and email you when it is done.

Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account. Signing out does not delete it either.

2What is deleted

  • Your sign-in account: email address, password hash and two-step sign-in settings.
  • Your sessions on every device — you are signed out everywhere.
  • Your notification tokens and your app settings (language, notification switches).
  • Your HR records, including the locations stored with your punches, except those your employer must keep by law (next section).

3What may be kept, and for how long

  • Records the law requires your employer to keep — for example payslips and salary, tax and social-security records, your contract, and the attendance used to calculate pay. They stay with your employer for the period the law requires, no longer linked to a sign-in account, and are then deleted.
  • The history of actions in your company’s account — for example, that a request was approved and by whom. It is part of your employer’s records and follows the same rule.
  • Backups — up to 90 days, after which they are overwritten.
  • Our emails with you about the deletion — up to 12 months, as a record that we handled your request.

If your employer closes its KonHR account, all of its data — yours included — is deleted 90 days after the account closes.

4If you only want less

  • Stop location: turn off location for KonHR in your phone’s settings. You will not be able to check in from the phone.
  • Stop notifications: turn them off in your phone’s settings, or choose which ones you get in the app under Profile › Notifications.
  • Correct something: ask your HR team, or see your rights.
